PARD is a Peterborough area not-for-profit organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with physical, emotional, and developmental challenges. Our work builds confidence, strength, independence, joy & so much more - your support is helping us keep this accessible program available to those who need it most in our community!

Information Evening with East Central Therapy Dogs
Is your dog friendly? Doesn’t jump up? Are you able to commit to a weekly, one-hour visit with your therapy dog to one of our client's sites, local nursing and retirement homes, and hospital? East Central Therapy Dogs is hosting an Information Evening, to talk about “What is expected of a therapy dog?” and “When the next therapy dog testing is.” Come join us, Tuesday, March 31st, 7-8:30 p.m. followed by our Spring Evaluation Testing, Saturday, April 11th, two evaluation times: 9 a.m.-10:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., for your dog to become a therapy dog. All of the above meetings and Evaluation are held at Applewood Retirement Home, 1500 Lansdowne St. W., Peterborough; large activity room (follow signs starting at reception). World Autism Awareness BreakfastApril 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day.
Please join Kawartha Lakes Autism Support for breakfast from 8 am to 930 am at Lindsay Fish and Grill, 321 Kent St West, Lindsay. Tell your server you are there for the Autism Awareness Breakfast and Lindsay Fish and Grill will donate half of your purchase to Kawartha Lakes Autism Support. After the breakfast we will be raising our Autism Awareness flag at Kawartha Lakes City Hall, 26 Francis St, with the meet and greet beginning at 1030.08:00am - 09:30am
