  • 100 Guitar Campfire Singalong

The Dunsford & District Lions Club invites the community to gather around the campfire for their second annual 100 Guitar Campfire Singalong on September 5, 2025, at the Dunsford Community Centre.

This unique family-friendly event aims to bring together 100 or more amateur guitarists for an evening of music, community spirit, and fun. Participants will join voices around a massive campfire to perform popular, easy-to-learn songs in a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

"We're looking for guitarists of all skill levels – and all ages – to join us," said a Lions Club spokesperson. "Whether you're 8 or 80, if you can strum a few chords, we want you there."

Musicians without guitars are encouraged to bring harmonicas, spoons, tambourines, fiddles, horns or any other instruments they play. Non-musicians are equally welcome to participate with their singing voices and enthusiasm.

To ensure everyone can participate, song lyrics and guitar chords for the opening numbers will be shared in advance on the club's Facebook page at Facebook.com/DunsfordLionsClub. After the group songs, individual guitarists will have the opportunity to lead their own song selections in an Open Mic format.
