🐾✨ Y91.9 Pet of the Week: Meet Shep! ✨🐾

Shep has been waiting since June for someone to say, “Let’s go home.” ❤️🐾

Meet the Y919 Pet of the Week: a big, beautiful boy with an even bigger heart.

Shep is about two years old and believed to be a Shepherd–Anatolian mix. He’s healthy, athletic, goofy and wonderfully affectionate. Give him a little time to sniff and get acquainted, and he’ll soon be leaning into you for cuddles. Personal space? Shep would like to respectfully fill yours. 🥰

His size won’t suit every household, but for someone who loves a large dog, there’s so much to love here.

Shep needs people who can comfortably handle him on a leash and patiently teach him manners and boundaries. He can jump and pull when excited, but he’s smart, responsive and eager to engage. Consistency and positive reinforcement will help this young guy keep learning.

He’d do best as the only dog in the home; how he feels about cats is unknown. He’s well behaved when left alone for reasonable periods, and although car rides aren’t his favourite, he’s making progress.

More than anything, Shep loves people. He deserves a home where he can be part of the family, share the everyday moments and lean against someone who’s happy he’s there.

He already knows how to love with his whole heart—and his whole body. Now he needs someone to love him back. ❤️

Could Shep’s next chapter begin with you?
